Overview

HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings S.A. (HELLENiQ ENERGY) is a leading Southeast European energy group operating across the energy value chain in eight countries, with significant activities in refining, petrochemicals, fuels marketing, power generation, and renewable energy. In 2025, net sales reached €11.6bn, Adjusted EBITDA amounted to €1,132m and Adjusted Net Income amounted to €503m.

 

Business units’ description

Refining, Supply and Trading. The Group operates three Greek refineries with a combined capacity of 342 kbpd, maintains a 60% share in the Greek wholesale oil products market, while more than 50% of its sales are exports.

Petrochemicals. The Group is the sole producer of petrochemicals in Greece, primarily engaged in the propylene-polypropylene value chain, with a market share exceeding 50% domestically. Furthermore, more than 60% of petrochemical sales are derived from exports.

Fuels Marketing. The Group holds a leading position in the Greek ground fuels marketing business, supported by a retail network of over 1,500 fuel stations throughout Greece. The Group is also involved in the LPG, industrial, aviation, marine fuels, and lubricants businesses. In the Southeast European markets, the Group maintains a significant presence in the fuels marketing industry, operating through an extensive network of over 300 fuel stations in Cyprus, Serbia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, and the Republic of North Macedonia.

Exploration & Production. The Group's exploration and production activities primarily focus on Greece, with an exploration portfolio encompassing six offshore areas, either independently or in collaboration with prominent companies in the sector. In addition, the Group’s JV with Chevron has signed lease agreements with the Hellenic Republic for four new offshore blocks south of Crete and the Peloponnese.

Renewable Energy Sources. HELLENiQ ENERGY is developing a diversified RES portfolio in SEE, with a leading position in the Greek and regional market, established customer footprint and business integration value. With an operating portfolio of 0.5 GW in Greece, Cyprus, North Macedonia and Romania, as well as > 1 GW under development, the Group has established a target of 1.5 GW of installed capacity by 2028 and 2 GW by 2030. The total pipeline amounts to > 6 GW.

Power & Gas. HELLENiQ ENERGY is also actively involved in the power and gas business, with a vertically integrated presence across generation (2 CCGTs of a combined capacity of 852 MW), wholesale and supply of electricity and gas.

 

Shareholding Structure

The major shareholders of HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings are the Paneuropean Oil and Industrial Holdings S.A. (40.41%) and the Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations (HCAP) (31.18%), while institutional and private investors hold the remaining shares. HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings S.A. is listed on the Athens Exchange (ATHEX: ELPE) with a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: HLPD) through Global Depository Receipts (GDRs).
