George Alexopoulos
Mr. Alexopoulos is Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Executive Board Member, Group Strategic Planning and New Activities General Manager. He joined HELLENiQ ENERGY in 2007.

He holds an MBA degree (1998) from Harvard Business School and M.Sc. (1993) and B.Sc. (1992) degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
He is responsible for strategic planning, new business development, the Group’s gas & power, renewables, upstream and engineering businesses, and its representation in international organizations.
He is a member of the Executive Committee of the European Fuel Manufacturers Association and has served as Principal or Alternate Member of the Board of Directors since 2012.
He held the position of Director of Strategic Planning and Development in an international group of companies (SETE S.A.), based in Geneva, Switzerland, from 1998 to 2006, while being responsible for overseeing the group’s energy portfolio.
Previously, he held various technical and executive positions at Stone & Webster and Molten Metal Technology in the United States between 1993 and 1997.
In July 2024 he was elected Chairman of the BoD of the SEV Business Council for Sustainable Development (SEV VIAN).
